
What is goal setting?
Goal setting is a process of identifying your short and long term goals so that you become motivated and dedicated to turn your visions and dreams for your future, into reality!
Why should you participate in goal setting?
When you know what your goals are and what you want out of life you move different. You start planning ahead to get there and doing plenty of research such as reading books, listening to motivational podcasts, or reading blog post such as this one and eventually you will end up at the place you want to be in life.
How do I start?
You must first know the difference between short and long term goals?
What are short term goals?
Short term goals are what you want to accomplish within a year or less. An example of a short term goal is Starting a YouTube channel and getting monetized. Other examples are passing a test or starting a business and making your first sale.
What are long term goals?
Long term goals range from 2-10 years sometimes longer. Examples of long term goals are graduating college, making money off your YouTube channel full time, getting licensed or certified and starting your own practice, or becoming a doctor, lawyer or nurse.
How to stay on top of your goals?
An effective way to stay on top of your goals is to create a vision board. Vision boards help you visualize the dreams and goals you are working towards so that you don’t forget them and so that you stay motivated.
